Our team in Haag, Switzerland is looking for you:

Process Engineer Vulcanizing

YOUR CHALLENGES
  • Responsible for maintenance and replacement of existing vulcanizing tools
  • Collaboration in project teams for the development and introduction of new part vulcanizing tools as well as the associated operating and testing equipment
  • Defining and consolidating the process landscape, taking into account lean management in production: introducing, optimizing and documenting processes at existing and new workstations, including layout planning. In doing so, pay attention to achieving the high quality and cleanliness requirements, optimum manufacturing costs and short throughput times
  • Planning, implementation and control of production-site maintenance and servicing of systems and operating equipment. Active cooperation with the plant maintenance department
  • Provide necessary training and support to production employees, ensuring that they understand and are able to apply the skills required to manufacture quality products and to perform in-process, documented inspection according to VAT and customer requirements
  • Recommend improvements in work instructions, methods, processes, policies and equipment and ensure that operators are kept updated of any changes / Initiate and recommend corrective and preventive actions
  • Call for support from other functions as required / Close cooperation with quality assurance and other specialist departments
YOUR COMPETENCIES
  • Minimum a B.Sc. Engineering in the rubber/plastics industry or similar - knowledge of mold design/making for the plastics industry will be an advantage
  • Professional experience in the plastics processing industry, e.g. tire or O-Ring manufacturing
  • Ability to work in a team and good communication skills, also in English, for cooperation with production and product management
  • Experience in process analysis and optimization
  • Experience in the field of statistical design of experiments, failure analysis and reduction of rejects
  • Proven experience in project management (structured working methods) / Experience in change management
  • Strong analytical skills, enjoy working on strategic issues, solution-oriented with hands-on mentality
  • Able to read technical drawings
  • Language comprehension (German, English)
  • Lean production knowledge
