Service Engineer

YOUR CHALLENGES

• Provides Inhouse and Onsite advanced technical customer support in analyzing, troubleshooting and repair of VAT products
• While working Inhouse you will monitor and maintain the service workflows to ensure required lead times and provide concise and distribute Failure Analysis Reports (FAR) for Inhouse and Customer Onsite repairs
• Leverage VAT ERP system and tools to select required parts for repair and order from warehouse
• Complete repairs and test the product according to factory specifications
• Ensuring VAT Database tracking and follow up on all customer support and service requests
• Collaborate and support the Product Management in regard to all technical related challenges and or improvements
• Substitute of Service Center Coordinator and his tasks
• Creates and ensures Standard Repair Procedure (SRP)
• Open to work overtime weekdays and weekends if required
• Willingness to travel international to customer site for field repair and / or training (10 - 20%)

YOUR COMPENTENCIES

• Completed apprenticeship, preferably in the mechanical or electronic field and / or several years of professional experience in assembly in an industrial environment
• Knowledge in Low and High Vacuum is an advantage
• Strong skills in mechanical assembly, basic electronics, analytical and troubleshooting
• Good German and English skills (writing and speaking), other languages are beneficial
• Strong organizational and ability to communicate between internal departments and customer, with high level of quality awareness and independence
• Diving license category B
• Established skills in Microsoft Office applications (E.g. Outlook, Word Excel, etc.)
