Head of Strategic Controlling & Transformation
Shape the future of Finance

As Head of Strategic Controlling & Transformation, you will report directly to the CFO and serve as a strategic partner. You will connect business strategy with financial performance, drive transformation across the organization and turn ideas into measurable execution. This role is designed for someone who thinks beyond Finance, challenges the status quo and creates measurable business value through influence rather than hierarchy. We are looking for someone who is as comfortable with challenging ideas as they are with taking ownership for delivering results
YOUR MAIN TASKS:
Executive Partnering
- Act as the strategic partner to the CFO
- Prepare Executive decision papers and presentations
- Challenge executive discussions with data-driven insights
- Translate complex business topics into actionable recommendations
- Represent the CFO in cross-functional initiatives where appropriate
- Provide independent challenge and strategic thinking to support better executive decision-making
- Develop meaningful KPIs and performance steering concepts
- Build management reporting that tells a story - not only numbers
- Translate financial performance into clear business narratives for executive management
- Ensure financial transparency and business performance steering
- Develop business cases and strategic decision support
- Identify business risks and opportunities through financial analysis
- Lead strategic planning, budgeting and performance review processes
- Lead the evolution of Finance towards a data-driven, AI-enabled business partner
- Drive AI and digitalization projects
- Identify and implement best practices to continuously improve Finance processes and business performance
- Challenge existing processes and redesign them where necessary
- Coordinate cross-functional strategic programs
- Ensure management decisions are followed through
- Align stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Sales and Corporate
- Turn Finance strategy into execution
- Bring structure to complex topics
YOUR PROFILE:
- University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent
- 10+ years of strong Finance/Controlling, FP&A or Corporate Finance background combined with business understanding
- Strong understanding of automation, AI and digital technologies, with the ability to identify and implement opportunities to improve Finance processes and business performance
- Proven track record of leading strategic or transformational initiatives
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and modern reporting, planning and analytics solutions
- Experience working in an international and matrix organization
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills for executive audiences
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Fluent in English & German, French is an advantage
