YOUR MAIN TASKS:
- Definition and System architecture of optical consumer products, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Translate product requirements and consumer needs into comprehensive system specifications
- Lead system-level integration activities, balancing optical, mechanical, electronic, and software requirements
- Lead of technical definition, architecture, and roadmap of advanced optical systems for consumer products (multifunctional observation devices)
- Specify and validate system interfaces across multidisciplinary teams (optical, mechanical, electronic, firmware/software)
- Serve as a technical reference for internal and external stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle and serialization
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to drive product industrialization and quality assurance
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and innovations in optical science, materials, and technologies
YOUR PROFILE:
- Master Degree in Physics, Optics or related field (ETH or equivalent, University of Applied Sciences)
- At least 3 years' proven experience in optical product development and system-level architecture, particularly in consumer environments, knowledge in binoculars and laser range finder is a plus
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and collaborating across project phases
- Strong team spirit as well as excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in development methods
- Fluency in German and English
