YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as an integral part of development projects from initial concepts to series production and across the entire product lifecycle
• Lead system-level integration activities, balancing optical, mechanical, electronic, and software requirements
• Translate product requirements and customer needs into comprehensive system specifications
• Specify and validate system interfaces across multidisciplinary teams
• Serve as a technical reference for internal and external stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to support product industrialization and quality assurance
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and innovations in optical science and materials
• Participate in and lead technology projects (up to TRL6), establishing yourself as a recognized technical expert inside and outside the organization
YOUR PROFILE
• Master's degree from ETH, FH, or equivalent in physics, optics, or a related field
• At least 3 years of proven experience in optical product development and system-level architecture
• (Expert) knowledge in optical design as well as experience and know-how in binoculars and laser range finders are a plus
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and collaborating across all project phases
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Proficient in development methods
• Fluency in German and English
